Three Cases of Male-Fetus Syndrome


Abstract
Three cases of mole-fetus syndrome were admitted and treated at Han Gang Sung Sim Hospital, Choong-Ang University Medical School from November, 1971 to August, 1976 with the following results;
1) The ages of 3 cases were 27,28 and 31 respectively.
2) Preoperative diagnoses were inevitable abortion, intrauterine fetal death and missed abortion respectively.
3) The incidence was 1 out of 1, 549 cases of total deliveries, and 1 out of 140 cases of total spontaneous abortions.
4) The duration of pregnancy were 13 weeks, 18 weeks and 22 weeks respectively.
5) One of the three was recurrent mole-fetus syndrome with pulmonary tuberculosis.
6) Curettage was done in 2 cases and total abdominal hysterectomy was done in one case. They were all completely cured after 7 weeks, 12 weeks and 9 weeks of operation respectively.
